Speaking Engagements
When I first published Scary Diagnosis I was happy to be able to speak extensively to groups of all sizes including Seminars, Trade Fairs, Book Stores (and book signings) and private groups. Given how symptomatic I was early on "speaking" was helpful with respect to getting back to feeling more myself (who I was before the diagnosis). I even did a series for Scotia McLeod Financial (for their staff and groups of clients) as a "Life Style" alternative to their usual Finance based speakers, which I enjoyed immensely!
These days I will occasionally speak if asked, but I am no longer actively pursuing speaking engagements. Although it was fun and often interesting talking to those attending, it was also a ton of work and exhausting.
If you are keen to speak to me drop me an email. If you are interested in having me speak please contact me to discuss your thoughts and needs, and if need be work out a price. Although I did a number of appearances for free, there were also several for which I was paid an "honorarium" (fancy word for Fee)!
